Even though the same main product is used, more known as acrylics, we can do different treatments with it.
Acrylics extensions involve adding plastic tips to extend nail length and then overlaying with liquid and powder (acrylic). Whereas, acrylics overlays is the overlaying with liquid and powder (acrylic) over the natural nail and is good if you are happy with the length of your own nails.

I am always for a more natural look and always encourage my clients to just overlay their own nails, as with such strong protection, nails grow quickly and you can enjoy a more natural look and feel.
Do Acrylic And Gel Nail Treatments Damage My Natural Nail?
Acrylics, gels damaging nails is an absolute myth! Moisturising every night, it does miracles!
Believe me products such as acrylic, gel polish ect., does not damage your nails as long as you look after them whilst having any product applied over your nail bed.
How Do I Look After My Nails When I Have Acrylics Or Gel Nails?
I always ‘nag’ my clients to look after that covered nail, as I can do my bit making nails look beautiful, but one little thing I ask from my lovely ladies is to moisturise the nail bed underneath.
To do this simply apply chosen cuticle oil, butter or serum all around the cuticle area! If you don’t this is when the chance of damaged nails occurs.
How Long Do Gel Nails Last?
They last longer than regular nail polish because they have a high-gloss finish. This is typically around two to three weeks.
Gel nails can also be used over acrylic nails if a client wants to avoid that wearing off on the end of the nail caused by having regular polish on. It also saves you from having to re-paint your nails in between visits.
What Are Gel Polish Nails?
Semi permanent polish, also known as gel polish, can be used to create artificial nail extensions, but can also be used like nail polish. They are hardened using a LED light.
What Is A Pedicure?
A pedicure is a cosmetic treatment of the feet and toenails, analogous to a manicure. Pedicures are done for cosmetic, therapeutic purposes. Pedicures include care not only for the toenails; dead skin cells are rubbed off the bottom of the feet using appropriate tools like stones, files ect. The pedicure skin care is provided up to the knee, including granular exfoliation, moisturising and finishing treatment with a lovely massage before applying chosen polish, regular or gel.
